Tons of thanks to my friend Jesse for allowing us to stay at his place in Lubbock. ETA of departure is 3 AM. I'll try and Blackberry a post from Dallas/Ft. Worth, and then once I get to Lubbock I'll check in again. NHC 1 AM intermediate update says no change in Rita. She's still on track, 175 MPH sustained winds, 898 millibar pressure.
