The 6 pm advisery is out, and the NHC is now issuing adviseries every 2 hours as opposed to every 3. Ike is the strongest of category 2 hurricanes, with wind speeds of 110 miles per hour. Ike's outer bands have already started to come ashore on Galveston, but it's still quiet here in the Galleria area of Houston, although the winds have picked up a notch.
