In my search for All Things Google, I found out about something they do yearly called the "Code Jam", which uses software based on the competitions that take place at TopCoder. It's actually a pretty neat site that takes coders and pits them in a competition of speed, accuracy, and problem solving. There's also ways to make money off the site by involving yourself with projects that they will eventually sell to people.
